Proposal: Strategic Allocation of Remaining Community Funds for Enhanced Liquidity and Core Operations

Abstract

This proposal seeks community approval for the strategic allocation of all remaining Wing DAO community funds. The allocated funds will be primarily directed towards two critical areas: optimizing WING token liquidity on centralized (CEX) and decentralized (DEX) exchanges, and ensuring the sustainable compensation of core development and operational contributors. This initiative is crucial for enhancing the WING token’s market stability, fostering a healthier trading environment, and securing the long-term viability and growth of the Wing Finance ecosystem.

Motivation

The sustained operations and development of Wing Finance depend on a robust and liquid WING token, as well as dedicated and well-supported contributors. In the dynamic and competitive DeFi landscape, maintaining adequate liquidity is paramount for attracting new users, facilitating seamless trading, and mitigating price volatility. Furthermore, the consistent development, maintenance, and operational oversight of the Wing Finance platform require sustained effort from skilled professionals. Ensuring fair compensation for these contributors is essential to retain talent, incentivize high-quality work, and prevent potential disruptions to project development.

Previous community votes have demonstrated a willingness to utilize community funds for project growth and stability, such as the allocation of WING tokens for marketing initiatives and team token allocations . This proposal builds upon that precedent by addressing immediate and long-term needs for the project’s health.

Proposal Details

We propose to allocate 100% of the remaining Wing DAO community funds as follows:

1. WING Token Liquidity Optimization

•Objective: To significantly improve WING token liquidity across major CEX and DEX platforms, thereby reducing slippage, increasing trading volume, and enhancing market depth.

•Mechanism: Funds will be deployed into strategic liquidity pools for market-making requirements with listed CEX and DEX. The specific platforms and allocation ratios will be determined based on real-time market analysis.

•Benefits: Increased market stability, improved trading experience for WING holders, enhanced attractiveness for new investors, and better resilience against market fluctuations.

2. Developer and Operations Contributor Compensation

•Objective: To provide fair and sustainable compensation for the core devs and operational contributors who are vital for the ongoing security, and smooth functioning of the Wing Finance platform.

•Mechanism: Funds will be used to cover salaries, grants, and other forms of compensation for developers, engineers, community managers, security auditors, and other essential personnel. This ensures that the project can continue to attract and retain top talent in the blockchain space.

•Benefits: Sustained development of new features, timely bug fixes, enhanced platform security, effective community engagement, and overall project continuity.

Rationale for Full Allocation

The decision to allocate all remaining community funds is driven by the current market conditions and the critical need to secure the project’s future. By consolidating resources into these two vital areas, Wing Finance can achieve maximum impact, ensuring both market strength and operational stability. A piecemeal approach would dilute the effectiveness of the funds and potentially leave the project vulnerable to market pressures or talent drain.

Conclusion

This proposal represents a crucial step towards solidifying Wing Finance’s position in the DeFi ecosystem. By empowering the project with enhanced liquidity and a sustainably compensated team, we can collectively ensure a prosperous and innovative future for all WING holders. We urge the community to consider the long-term benefits and vote FOR this proposal.

great, hope this will make wing great again

Personally, I’m in FOR. Something similar I’ve already suggested. Something needs to be done to attract people. The only thing I’m not for is minting more Wing and increasing its total supply. That wouldn’t be good for trust in the project at all.

It’s absolutely necessary to do so.

At least you guys didn’t use up the fund. That’s a very good signal.
